It's about that time of year where I say I'm going to do all this stuff because, golly, I have all this free time. I should have more time to work on stuff, right? You're hilarious. This is the time of year where I run around preparing for college and play video games the other 70% of the time. Somewhere in there is sleep, but that's optional.
So what's the point of making a journal entry during the lazy season? Setting a goal.
That goal will probably not be reached.
Does that matter? Nope. At the very least, it gets me to start thinking about what sort of stuff I want to do when I get busy after school starts since, knowing me, I'll work on stuff when things are at their most stressful. And that suits me just fine. Onward to the goal~
I hope to get the background of my current project done before I'm on my merry way. In case you're interested, I'm looking at a Devil Survivor 2 painting in honor of the anime adaption and remake coming out. The fact that the anime adaption isn't doing the game justice is beside the point; I love seeing everyone moving onscreen. Best case scenario, this gets finished before the remake is localized, but I'm not holding my breath. It's going to be fairly involved, and it probably won't turn out that great anyway. I'll be glad to have the practice, though. And... It will probably take longer even than Xenoblade's Eryth Sea took me. This should be interesting.
Happy lazy season, everyone~

A Switch in Focus
Now that I've finally finished my painting and posted it, I can definitely say that I love this type of art. I love working with paint, and I love how it looks when it's finished. I kinda want to delve further into it a bit, so I'll be trying my hand at oils next. I already have an idea that I think may turn out interesting, so look forward to it. Unfortunately, painting takes time, so you'll have to be waiting a long while. xD
I'm thinking of taking pictures of the different stages of my next work. I tried doing the same when I painted Eryth Sea, but I somehow fell behind in the picture taking. Grr. However, the school is letting me use an
Plush done, focusing on writing
As you can see, I've put up the first two plush I've made in FOREVER. xD They were done as part of an Apparel Development II project. Thanks to that, I was able to learn quite a bit about plush making. :3 I even still have the patterns to these guys if I ever want to try to modify them.
Now, for the writing. >:3 As you may know, I've been working on novelizing a certain Vocaloid song. When I say novelizing, I mean it. That thing has so much original material from my mind. xD I've actually been pretty productive the past week or so, which is kinda nice. So far, this is what I have done:
Character creation is finished.
Outline is finished.
Pokemon Plush on the Way~
It's about time I feel like getting active again. I havent' plushed in quite a while, so this should be interesting.
So here's the story:
For my Apparel Developement II class, I'm supposed to design a line of *something.* We're supposed to make 5 of *something.* I chose to go with Pokemon plush, since I haven't done anything for a while. Of course I'm being cheap and using flet, plus I'll be experimenting like crazy with new stuff, so the end result may not be all that impressive. xD Whatever. It's practice.
Just know it's on the way and tremble with fear.
Also on the agenda... I'm thinking of reviving my ffnet account with a Vocaloid fan
Randomness
I is 1,000 words away from completing my 50,000 for NaNoWriMo. I think it will take me much more than that to finish up, though, but I guess that's okay. Once I finish it will be time for some major editing. XD It will probably be complete crap for now, but that's okay. Again.
Anyways, just met up with ~Glacideas (https://www.deviantart.com/glacideas) today for the first time. X3 I gave her Articuno, and she gave me some minky to try out on my own. I'm still not that great at sewing, but I'll do my best to come up with something that will hopefully work out. XD It's like a tan-ish color, so I have a few possibilities in mind... we shall see. Keep your eyes open for something
